  • Acknowledgement of Country

I acknowledge the Gadigal people as the Traditional Owners of the land where I live, study, work, and create. I recognise them as custodians of the waterways and coastal seas where I play. I recognise the trauma and violence resulting from colonisation and my commitment to decolonising education and environmental research. I also acknowledge the Warlpiri and Wurrundjeri Woi Wurrung peoples, who have informed my cultural awareness. There can be no climate justice without justice for First Nations peoples. I pay my respects to Elders past and present and the broader Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community.
